Madarina Karimi

Madarina Karimi is a widow.  She has one son and two daughters who live in the same compound. School was not an option for her as a young girl, so she spent her time taking care of her siblings and working around the home. Madarina is proud to be a part of the Kiumbe Adult Literacy group. This community of women has been so supportive to her. She also loves making baskets. The first thing that she did with her money was send her daughter to a clinic so that she could have a healthy childbirth.
